San Francisco, San Francisco County

Following last May’s exhilarating hike high above San Francisco, we’re heading back out again with our friends at The Outbound Collective on May 18, 2019. On this free urban walking adventure, we will climb seven summits, ascending to take in some of the finest city views from Twin Peaks and Mount Olympus (once viewed as the geographic center of the city), and journey along the flanks of Mount Parnassus. Along the way, we’ll stroll through areas of history, art and hidden mystery that are part of San Francisco’s landscape. It’s 8 miles of heart-pumping fun.

About the Expert Joe Toback
Joe Toback grew up near the Pacific ocean in San Francisco, California where he still resides. He fell in love with the outdoors as a teen and backpacked, bicycled, and paddled through his formative years, all over the US and Canada. He began working as a guide for MT Sobek in 1994 as a Trip Leader, specializing in Sea Kayak and Cultural Adventures on six of the seven continents. When asked to name the most beautiful city he has visited, the answer is “San Francisco”—the city that he never gets tired of exploring.
