In addition to having some of the world's finest skiing, the Alps are home to some of the world's finest cheeses. From giant, savory wheels of Comte from the Jura to the soft, funky blues of Lombardy, the diversity of cheeses is breathtaking. Learn about the alpage system for grazing cows, and taste the amazing results! We'll also discuss how fruitières (cooperatives) and affineurs (cheese-agers) contribute to this rich cheesemaking tradition. And since mountain cheese loves mountain wine, we'll have some of that, too! Join our cheesemongers for an evening celebrating these mountain cheeses at the peak of deliciousness.
NOTE: This class is held at our Classroom Annex, not our retail location. The annex is located at 67 Smith Place in Cambridge, and we highly recommend reviewing the directions available here.
